Privacy Policy
Effective May 21, 2026 — Compliant with Bill 25 (Quebec)
This policy describes how SoumissionsFunéraires.ca ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, stores, discloses and protects your personal information when you use our platform connecting families with funeral homes in Quebec.
We comply with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Bill 25). By using our site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.
1. Privacy Officer
Our Privacy Officer can be reached at:
confidentialite@soumissionsfuneraires.ca
2. Information we collect
When you complete our quote request form, we collect:
- Contact details: name, email, phone number, region;
- Request details: service type (immediate, imminent, pre-arrangement), ritual type (cremation, burial), ceremony type, desired timeline;
- Your communication preferences (email, phone, both);
- Postal code (optional) to optimize matching with the nearest funeral homes.
We also automatically collect, for security and analytics purposes:
- IP address (anonymized — truncated cryptographic hash);
- Browser and operating system type;
- Pages visited and time spent on the site (via Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity);
- UTM parameters and campaign identifiers (gclid, fbclid) if you arrived from an ad.
3. Purposes of collection
We use your personal information solely to:
- Transmit your request to a limited number of partner funeral homes (maximum 4) matching your region and needs;
- Send you an email confirmation and, where applicable, follow-ups related to your request;
- Improve our services, measure site performance and prevent fraud;
- Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
We never sell your personal information. Nor do we use it for commercial solicitation unrelated to your request.
4. Disclosure to third parties
Your contact details and request information are shared only with the selected partner funeral homes based on your region and the type of service requested. These homes receive your information for the sole purpose of providing you with a quote.
We also share certain information with our technical service providers, who act on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality commitments:
- Supabase (database hosting);
- Vercel (site hosting and logging);
- Resend (transactional email delivery);
- Stripe (partner payment processing — does not receive family data);
- Twilio (call tracking for inbound calls to partners);
- Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Microsoft Clarity, Meta Ads (audience measurement and advertising).
Some of these service providers may process or host data outside Quebec or Canada (notably in the United States). We have assessed the privacy implications of these transfers in accordance with section 17 of Bill 25.
5. Retention
- Quote requests: up to 36 months after your last interaction;
- Connection logs: 12 months;
- Aggregated analytics (non-identifying): retained indefinitely;
- Accounting data (partner invoices): 7 years, in accordance with tax obligations.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some site features may be limited.
8. Security
We implement reasonable security measures (TLS encryption in transit, hashing of sensitive identifiers, role-based access control, logging of administrative access) to protect your information against loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
In the event of a privacy incident presenting a serious risk of harm, we will notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec in accordance with Bill 25.
